The Miss World 2026 pageant concluded in Vietnam, with Jocheiry Mola of the Dominican Republic taking the crown, according to infohub.kz.
The final was held on September 5 in Nha Trang on one of the largest stages ever built for the event. The 73rd Miss World is 24-year-old teacher, journalist, and social activist Jocheiry Mola from the Dominican Republic. She received the crown from last year's winner, Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand.
Mola brought the Dominican Republic its first Miss World title in 44 years, following Mariasela Alvarez's win in 1982. "I'm over the moon and still trying to process everything. I'm so happy and I'd love to see my country celebrating right now. They deserve it! I can't wait for what's ahead—I'm ready," said the new Miss World.
First runner-up was Elizabeth Reynes of Spain, and second runner-up was Taanusia Chetty of Malaysia. A total of 111 contestants from around the world participated.
Kazakhstan was represented by Bagym Baltabayeva, who won the Miss Qazaqstan title in 2024. She did not make it to the main prize winners or finalists of the international competition.
