The press service of FC Kairat stated it had not approved the holding of a concert by American rapper Kanye West (Ye) at the Central Stadium in Almaty on August 14, according to infohub.kz.
Earlier, organizers announced the artist's performance at the venue, and a ticketing service declared that sales would start soon. However, Kairat emphasized that the specified date had not been coordinated with the club.
The club noted that Kairat is scheduled to play home matches in the Kazakhstan championship at the Central Stadium on August 8 and 15. Additionally, from August 11 to 13, the team may play at home in European cup competitions.
The press service added that a concert of this scale would require lengthy setup and dismantling of the stage, as well as put additional strain on the football pitch and stadium infrastructure, potentially affecting the arena's preparation and match schedules.
"Until the relevant approvals are completed, the club considers it premature to announce the Central Stadium as the venue for the concert on August 14," the press service said.
They stressed that any mass events at the Central Stadium must take into account the approved football calendar and take place only after coordination with all interested parties.
