Producer and mother of performer Kairat Nurtas, Gulzira Aidarbekova, has clarified the situation surrounding the singer's concert in Kyzylorda, confirming that the date of the performance was changed, infohub.kz reports.

Kairat Nurtas had earlier announced the postponement to fans on his Instagram account. "Kyzylorda, we'll meet on a new day! The concert scheduled for October 18 has been moved to October 20. All previously purchased tickets remain valid. Thank you for your understanding. See you there!" he wrote.

Aidarbekova noted that as a producer she has been receiving numerous questions about the Kairat Nurtas concert in Kyzylorda and moved to clarify the situation. "Due to the situation in Shymkent, ticket sales for the Kyzylorda concert were suspended. Fortunately, everything has now returned to normal, and yesterday ticket sales for the Kyzylorda concert resumed. This is an answer to those who repeatedly asked us whether the concert would go ahead. Tickets purchased earlier remain valid for entry. Kyzylorda, wait for October 20!" she wrote on her Instagram page.

Recall that a crush occurred at Kairat Nurtas's concert in Shymkent, injuring an 18-year-old girl. Police said a criminal case had been opened over the provision of services that failed to meet safety requirements.

A man born in 1984 — the organizer of the Kairat Nurtas concert — was subsequently detained. According to preliminary data, the number of tickets sold significantly exceeded the permitted capacity of the venue, leading to a mass gathering of people and creating a threat to spectators' safety. He faces up to 5 years in prison.

It later emerged that the organizer of the Kairat Nurtas concert in Shymkent was not placed in custody — he was released under house arrest.
