The Kazakhstan Premier League (KPL) match of the 2026 season between Almaty's Kairat and Zhezkazgan's Ulytau will be held behind closed doors, reports infohub.kz.
The match was originally scheduled for the ninth round, but was postponed later in the season. Holding the game on August 15 at the Central Stadium in Almaty proved impossible due to a Kanye West concert scheduled there the day before.
Earlier, Kairat announced that the game would take place at the club's base named after Timur Segizbayev. In a new release, the club noted that the match will be held behind closed doors.
"The change of venue is due to dismantling works at the Central Stadium after the concert. Due to infrastructure limitations and low spectator capacity, the match will be held behind closed doors," Kairat explained.
However, a live broadcast will be organized in the standard format. In particular, the match will be shown on the KFF League YouTube channel.
