Almaty is gearing up for Kanye West's arrival, with organizers sharing details. More than 100 tons of technical equipment are heading to the city, reports infohub.kz.
According to Aituar Alibekov, director of concert project development at First Media Group, over 100 tons of equipment are already on their way to Almaty. Around 15 trucks are transporting all stage structures, lighting, and sound. He stated that residents and guests will see a full-scale world-class show, not a shortened or adapted version.
"Many wrote that maybe the show in Almaty wouldn't be as grand. But this is not an adapted version. It will be a show of the same scale as you see online. There will be a stage, a sphere, and all the special effects," Alibekov said.
After the performance in Kazakhstan, Ye will continue his show series in the United States. First Media Group believes that hosting an artist of this magnitude will make Almaty more prominent on the global concert tour map.
Earlier, organizers explained why the concert announcement came so suddenly. Initially planned for a different date, it changed due to adjustments in the world tour schedule.
According to organizers, the 360-degree stage ensures good visibility from almost any seat in the stadium. "If you want to see the entire show with all special effects, it's better to choose the stands. But if you want to be closer to the artist and feel the atmosphere among the crowd, go for the dance floor," Alibekov advised.
West's first major concert in Almaty will take place on August 14. Tickets are available via the Freedom SuperApp and Ticketon.kz. On the first day of presale, fans snapped up half the stadium seats.
