Organizers of Ye (Kanye West)'s concert have announced the list of equipment that will not be allowed into the venue. The restrictions are imposed at the artist's request, reports infohub.kz.
First Media Group clarified that the ban applies not only to professional but also to amateur photo and video equipment. Thus, concertgoers will not be able to bring cameras (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and others), professional video cameras, pocket cameras like DJI Osmo Pocket and Osmo Action, action cameras such as GoPro and similar devices, gimbals, interchangeable lenses, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, drones, as well as professional microphones and audio recording devices.
Influencers and fans of aesthetic shots who are used to filming on a Canon G7X or DJI Osmo Pocket will have to make do with their phones that evening, as these devices are on the banned list. However, there's no need to worry about battery life: power banks are not mentioned in the rules.
It's also better to leave your own food and drinks at home. At last year's Jennifer Lopez concert, bringing them into the stands was strictly prohibited, and an official food court operated for spectators.
Earlier, the company stated that there would be no discounts or promotions on tickets before the concert. As reported by FMG, more than 100 tons of technical equipment are already being transported to Almaty, and the show will be as grand as at other performances of Ye's world tour.
Recall that West's first large-scale concert in Almaty will take place on August 14 at the Central Stadium. Tickets can be purchased in the Freedom SuperApp or on the Ticketon.kz website. On the first day of presale, fans snapped up half of the stadium's seats.
