American rapper Kanye West (Ye) performed at the Algarve Stadium in Portugal, drawing around 34,000 attendees. This served as a key rehearsal ahead of his highly anticipated concert in Almaty, according to infohub.kz.
Earlier, the musician's tour dates were canceled in the UK, France, Poland, Italy, and the Czech Republic, while Australia denied him an entry visa. In Portugal, there were also calls to cancel the performance, notably from the Israeli ambassador. However, organizers refused to postpone or cancel the concert, and the event ultimately went off peacefully.
Ye took the stage about 45 minutes later than scheduled. During the show, he performed his most famous hits, including Stronger, Gold Digger, and American Boy, and invited his daughter North West on stage. European media noted that the artist made no political statements.
The next stop on the tour will be Kazakhstan. On August 14, Kanye West is scheduled to perform at the Central Stadium in Almaty. Earlier reports indicated that over 100 tons of technical equipment for the concert are being transported to the city, with about 15 trucks carrying all stage structures, lighting, and sound.
