Kanye West's planned performances in St. Petersburg will not go ahead — the organizer has announced the cancellation of the concerts, infohub.kz reports.

According to RBC, the American rapper will not perform in St. Petersburg on the scheduled dates. The organizer said it will soon provide official information on the status of the project and further plans.

"We will soon issue an official statement on the status of the project and further plans. Refunds for purchased tickets will become available on Monday, October 12, 2026," the statement said.

Say Agency promised to publish detailed information on the rules and conditions for refunds "a little later."

Meanwhile, Kommersant reports that police in St. Petersburg have launched a pre-investigation inquiry into the organizer of Kanye West's canceled concerts. The case concerns possible fraud on an especially large scale.

Kanye West's concerts had been scheduled for October 10 and 11 at Gazprom Arena. Tickets were sold at prices ranging from 9,000 to 160,000 rubles (from nearly 48,000 tenge to about 846,000 tenge — editor's note). After the cancellation, buyers began demanding refunds and filing lawsuits, including over travel expenses.
