A video of a mass detention near a supermarket in Karaganda is circulating on social media, sparking widespread discussion. The footage shows several people lying face down on the asphalt with special forces officers nearby. Users are questioning the reasons behind the incident, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Karaganda Regional Police Department, on July 22, police received a report that a group of young people was gathering near a supermarket in the city, where a conflict might arise. Officers immediately arrived at the scene and stopped the illegal actions, preventing the situation from escalating. To clarify all circumstances, 16 people were taken to the local police department. An investigation is currently underway, and a procedural decision will be made based on the results.
The department reminded that any attempts to disturb public order are under special control. Police will continue to respond promptly to such reports, taking necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens.
