On August 29, Karaganda became the center of one of the country's largest musical events. For the first time in the history of Miner's Day celebrations, a concert in the regional center, organized by Qarmet, drew about 250,000 spectators, setting a new Kazakhstan record for the scale of a city holiday event... reports infohub.kz.
The new square united residents of the Karaganda region, guests from other regions of Kazakhstan and foreign countries. Hundreds of thousands of people came to Karaganda to be part of the largest Miner's Day in the history of independent Kazakhstan.
On one stage performed Dequine, Moldanazar, Kairat Nurtas, Dima Bilan, and Dimash Kudaibergen. Artists of different genres and generations became part of a large concert program, and the new square turned into the center of a grand show for several hours.
Modern stage, powerful sound, lighting and multimedia solutions, performances by world and national level artists, and a record audience created the atmosphere of an unprecedented event in scale. The concert broke all its previous records.
"The energy of this square is incredible. Thank you to Karaganda and all the spectators for such a massive and warm welcome. Happy Miner's Day!" noted Dima Bilan.
One of the most anticipated events of the evening was the performance of world-famous Kazakh artist Dimash Kudaibergen.
"Kop rakhmet, kurmetti agayin! This is incredible! Kenshiler kuny kutty bolsyn!" said Dimash Kudaibergen.
Karaganda had never seen such a scale. About 250,000 people simultaneously became part of a big holiday dedicated to people of one of the most courageous professions.
The festive events united workers of enterprises, veterans of the industry, their families, residents and guests of the region. But the main result of the evening was not only record numbers, but the atmosphere of unity and respect for people whose labor created and continues to create the industrial power of the country.
The culmination of the holiday was a large-scale fireworks display that illuminated the sky over the mining capital of Kazakhstan. Bright salvos put an effective end to a historic evening that brought together more than a quarter of a million people.
Hundreds of thousands of spectators. One city. One square. One big holiday. For the first time in history, Miner's Day in Karaganda was held with such scope.
Karaganda once again confirmed its status as the main mining center of Kazakhstan, and Miner's Day as one of the most significant and large-scale holidays of the region.
