A celebratory fireworks display marking the opening of a restaurant in Karaganda has led to an administrative case: police identified the violation from a social media video, infohub.kz reports.
According to the press service of the Karaganda Region Police Department, the investigation was prompted by a video posted on social media. The footage shows fireworks being set off at night during the opening of one of the city's restaurants.
Police officers identified the organizer as a 46-year-old Karaganda resident. Following the investigation, an administrative case was opened against him, and the collected materials have been sent to court for a procedural decision.
"This case was one of four incidents identified by police in the Karaganda Region since the beginning of the year. In all cases, the issue involved disturbing the peace at night by setting off pyrotechnics in unauthorized locations. In each case, the offenders were held accountable in accordance with the law," the Karaganda Region Police Department said.
The department noted that a celebratory event does not exempt anyone from the obligation to comply with legal requirements and respect the right of others to peace and quiet.
The Karaganda Region Police Department continues to monitor social media. Publicly posted videos and publications make it possible to promptly identify violations of public order and take the measures prescribed by law.
