A man in Karaganda who organized a celebratory fireworks display for the opening of a restaurant and bar has been held administratively liable. He has been ordered to pay a fine of 86,500 tenge, according to infohub.kz.

According to the official Telegram channel of the courts of the Karaganda Region, the specialized interdistrict administrative court of Karaganda heard the case under Part 2 of Article 436 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses.

The court found that on September 19, 2026, during an event marking the opening of a restaurant and bar, the man organized the use of pyrotechnic devices (fireworks) in an unauthorized location, violating the established procedure for their use. No material damage was caused.

The offender himself explained that on the day of the restaurant and bar's opening he found a company online offering celebratory fireworks services. After agreeing on the terms with representatives of that company, he signed a service contract. He said he was unaware whether the company held permits for the use of pyrotechnic devices.

The man's guilt is fully confirmed by his own admission of guilt, the administrative offense report, and other evidence examined at the court hearing.

In imposing the administrative penalty, the court took into account the nature of the offense, the circumstances in which it was committed, the offender's character, the absence of any information about material damage, and the need to prevent further offenses.

By court order, the man was fined 86,500 tenge, with the pyrotechnic devices confiscated. The court order has not yet entered into legal force.

Earlier, police reported that a celebratory fireworks display had been staged in Karaganda to mark the opening of a restaurant. Video of the event appeared on social media.
