Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Russia, Daulet Abayev, spoke at the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg, offering advice to young participants, infohub.kz reports.
Kazakhstan was represented at the festival by a delegation of about one hundred people from all regions of the country. The Kazakh ambassador addressed all participants — his message, as noted, is sure to be remembered by the young people and will likely go viral on social media.
"For young people, I can say just a few things. You must not be a jerk. I don't know if it will be translated correctly, I hope so. That's the first thing. Well, if I had said to be good people, you probably wouldn't remember it. This is a very important skill, an important quality — not to be a jerk," Abayev said.
In addition, he advised students to become professionals and build social connections. The ambassador gave his own example: he headed the student trade union committee, played football, and participated in KVN. This helped him significantly expand his circle of acquaintances, and after his studies, he had much less time for networking.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that up to 2 million young Kazakhstanis could be left without work in the near future, so the call to engage more in networking is now more relevant than ever.
