Kazakh blogger Madina Mamadaliyeva, known online as Madlen, fell victim to theft while traveling in Italy. According to her, a Louis Vuitton suitcase disappeared from the train carriage en route to Venice, reports infohub.kz.
The blogger said she was traveling in business class, and her luggage was above her seat. Inside the suitcase were clothes, shoes, and designer bags.
"Friends, I'm on a train to Venice. I've been robbed. They stole my Louis Vuitton suitcase with all my shoes and bags inside. I'm in business class. It was right above my head, but I guess I was looking at my phone and didn't notice," she said.
According to Mamadaliyeva, she discovered the loss on the eve of an event at the Venice Film Festival. The suitcase contained items she had prepared for the trip.
"Tomorrow I'm going to amfAR at the Venice Festival, and I had all my clothes there. The suitcase had many Loro Piana items, shoes, and other things. I feel terrible," the blogger said.
Mamadaliyeva estimated the total value of the lost items at approximately $70,000, which converts to about 31 million tenge.
