The U19 World Boxing Championships are continuing in Budva. The semifinal stage has concluded, with four Kazakh representatives advancing to the tournament's decisive bouts.

"Alina Kudaygenova will compete for the title in the up to 57 kg weight class, Bibarys Ashirbay in the up to 70 kg category, Zarina Tolybai in the over 80 kg division and Vladislav Samozhonov in the over 90 kg category," the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan said.

Kazakhstan therefore has four opportunities to win gold at the world championships. Reaching the final has already guaranteed each athlete at least a silver medal, but their main task now is to finish the tournament with victory and climb to the top of the podium.

For the other Kazakh participants, the world championships ended at the semifinal stage. They also made a significant contribution to the national team's result by winning bronze medals.

"The bronze medallists are Madira Zhumakhan in the up to 51 kg weight class, Indira Kydyrmoldaeva in the up to 60 kg category, Daniyar Akbisenov in the up to 60 kg category and Yerketan Zharkynbek in the up to 90 kg category," the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan said.

Kazakhstan has thus already secured at least eight medals at the U19 World Championships: four silver or gold medals from the finalists and four bronze medals. All attention will now focus on the decisive bouts that will determine the world title holders.

The world championship finals will take place on 27 October. The decisive stage of the competition is scheduled to begin at 18:00 Astana time.

For the Kazakh team, finals day will be a chance to significantly add to its medal tally and finish the world championships with several championship titles.
