A hairdresser from Atyrau has made it to the top five at the international #ONESHOT Hair Awards 2026, reports infohub.kz.
Ksenia Volodina, owner of a beauty salon and six-time champion in braiding, presented an intricate composition of braids and weaves adorned with traditional Kazakh ornaments. The work was entered in the Intricate Braids & Twists category, where judges evaluate technical skill, originality, and artistic presentation.
"I really want to share my joy that my work has made it to the top five in the world. And why not? After this work had already won in the CIS and New York, could there have been any other result?" the stylist shared her emotions on social media.
The #ONESHOT Hair Awards is an international prize for hairdressers, which over time has attracted participants from more than 100 countries, with over 2 million entries submitted in total. It is considered the largest event in the world in the field of hairdressing.
The award has two main categories: Hot Shot for everyday client hairstyles, and Big Shot for staged and editorial looks for photo shoots. In 2026, participants competed in dozens of categories.
