In the East Kazakhstan region, police have held a driver and a female passenger accountable for a dangerous stunt filmed for social media, reports infohub.kz.
The footage, shared online, shows the passenger leaning out of the moving Chevrolet Cobalt, ignoring safety rules. This behavior posed a threat not only to herself but also to other road users.
After reviewing the video, police quickly identified those involved. The driver, a 27-year-old man, was brought to administrative responsibility for violating road safety requirements. The passenger was also penalized for riding without a seatbelt.
Police reminded that the desire to capture a spectacular video should not lead to reckless actions. Even a single traffic violation can have serious consequences.
For transporting an unbelted passenger, the driver faces a fine of 5 MCI (21,625 tenge in 2026). The passenger may also be held liable if not wearing a seatbelt.
Earlier, Kurusiv Auto reported that an 18-year-old Kazakhstani was punished for setting off fireworks from the sunroof of an Audi.
