In Kazakhstan, employers face fines of up to 43,000 tenge for concealing job vacancies, reports infohub.kz.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population reminded that companies are obliged to publish information about each vacant position on the Electronic Labor Exchange Enbek.kz within five working days from the moment it appears. This must be done before the official registration of the candidate. The ministry emphasizes that this procedure ensures transparency of the labor market and provides citizens with unified access to current vacancies.

For violating the deadlines for posting or concealing information about upcoming layoffs, a warning is provided. In case of a repeated violation within a year, an administrative fine will be imposed under Article 98 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

The amount of the penalty depends on the status of the organization. In 2026, one monthly calculation index (MCI) is 4,325 tenge. Officials, representatives of small businesses and non-profit organizations will pay 5 MCI (21,625 tenge), medium-sized businesses - 7 MCI (30,275 tenge), and large businesses - 10 MCI (43,250 tenge).

In parallel, the Ministry of Labor has automated the process of deregistering citizens from unemployment. Residents who have found a job are obliged to independently notify the career center within five working days, but even without such an application, the system updates the status based on the registration of an electronic contract in the Unified System for Recording Labor Contracts (ESUTD) or the first receipt of a mandatory pension contribution from the employer.

The ministry urges businesses to strictly follow the sequence of actions when hiring: timely post vacancies on Enbek.kz, register electronic labor contracts, and promptly transfer social and pension contributions.

Earlier it was reported that businesses face fines of almost 800,000 tenge for errors with labor contracts.
