Reports have emerged online about a knife attack on a Kazakh citizen in a supermarket in Northern Cyprus. The situation has been commented on by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, as reported by infohub.kz.
According to the Telegram channel "Criminal Kazakhstan," a 22-year-old Kazakh woman was injured in a knife attack at the Metropol Market supermarket in Nicosia. It is noted that the woman is in extremely serious condition.
The publication also cites local police information, as reported by Cypriot-Turkish media. It is reported that on August 3 at approximately 11:45 local time, an unknown individual attacked the woman with a knife for unknown reasons. As a result of the incident, both were taken to the hospital, where they remain under medical supervision.
A NUR.KZ correspondent contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan for comment. The press service stated: "The Ministry is aware of the incident in Northern Cyprus involving our citizen. Currently, Kazakh diplomats are ascertaining the details of what happened and are in contact with local competent authorities. Additional information will be provided as official details become available."
This matter is under the control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
