Kazakhstan's Greco-Roman wrestling team delivered an outstanding performance at the Grand Prix in Dortmund, winning six gold medals, reports infohub.kz.
The national team achieved the best result at the Grand Prix series tournament in Dortmund, Germany, according to the National Olympic Committee. Kazakh athletes claimed six gold, four silver, and five bronze medals, securing first place in the overall standings.
The tournament champions were Arsen Zhuma (55 kg), Aibek Aitbekov (60 kg), Aidos Sultangali (63 kg), Bagdat Sabaz (67 kg), Yusuf Ashrapov (72 kg), and Merey Mauletkhanov (77 kg).
Silver medals were won by Daulet Ashirkhanov (63 kg), Almatbek Amanbek (72 kg), Ibragim Magomadov (82 kg), and Jokhar Uzarov (130 kg).
Bronze medalists included Amangali Bekbolatov (60 kg), Galym Kabdunasarov (63 kg), Madi Danelov (72 kg), Omar Satayev (82 kg), and Dias Kalen (87 kg).
Thus, the Kazakh team collected 15 medals, allowing them to finish first in the overall team standings.
