In the Mangystau region, a 34-year-old resident of Zhanaozen has been held administratively liable for using obscene language during a TikTok live stream, reports infohub.kz.
The incident occurred on August 3, 2026. While broadcasting live on his social media page, the man publicly used profanity, showing clear disrespect for others and violating public order.
The following day, August 4, police officers drew up an administrative protocol against the offender under Part 2 of Article 434 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism).
On August 6, by a ruling of the Zhanaozen City Court, the man was found guilty and sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest. After the court decision, he was placed in a special detention facility.
The police department of the Mangystau region reminded that social networks are not a law-free space. "Public use of obscene language, offensive behavior, and other actions that disturb public order entail liability under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We urge citizens to observe standards of public conduct both in real life and in the online space," the department said.
