A resident of Kazakhstan was not allowed to board a flight from Almaty to Aktau just before the end of boarding. The incident occurred at the airport, and the passenger had to reach his destination via a connection in Astana, reports infohub.kz.
A video message from an angry man, who claimed he was not allowed on a FlyArystan flight, appeared on the Telegram channel Kozachkov Offfside. The footage shows the passenger expressing dissatisfaction that while he was going through hand luggage screening, boarding had ended, and he missed the flight. As a result, he had to fly to Aktau not on a direct flight but with a connection in the capital.
In the press service of FlyArystan, a correspondent of NUR.KZ was told that on August 21, during boarding for flight FS7177 on the Almaty-Aktau route, one passenger presented two pieces of hand luggage at the boarding gate. According to the carrier's current rules, each passenger can carry only one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 7 kg. The passenger was explained the possible options for bringing the luggage in line with the established requirements.
The airline also noted that as boarding was nearing completion, passengers were announced that the gate would soon close. However, at the time boarding ended, the passenger was not at the gate, so boarding was completed in accordance with established procedures. The carrier acknowledges that such situations may cause inconvenience but emphasizes that baggage and boarding requirements apply equally to all passengers to ensure equal conditions, as well as safe and timely flight operations.
