In the Mangystau region, a man under probation supervision appeared in court due to repeated violations of the terms of his sentence, reports infohub.kz.
According to the official Instagram page of the department, a demonstrative court hearing was held in the Tupkaragan district court regarding a convict registered with the probation service. Other probationers were present at the hearing.
According to the materials reviewed, the convict repeatedly violated the order of serving his sentence. In particular, he was absent from his place of residence, did not appear at home for several days, and also failed to notify probation officers about his departure for work.
Additionally, during a drug screening conducted among individuals registered with the probation service, signs of narcotic substances were found in his biological sample.
Due to the violations, the probation service submitted a motion to the court requesting that the unserved part of the sentence be replaced with imprisonment.
The court, having reviewed the materials, granted the probation service's motion.
According to the court's decision, the convict was taken into custody in the courtroom and sent to a penal institution to serve the remainder of his sentence.
