A dispute with an emergency official cost a Pavlodar resident a fine of nearly 91,000 tenge. The incident occurred on the evening of June 28 at a boat station on Akademik Satpayev Street, reports infohub.kz.
During a patrol of the water area, officers of the Department for Emergency Situations noticed an overloaded boat carrying seven people, including two children. Only two passengers were wearing life jackets. After being ordered to stop, the boat headed for the shore.
There, the boat driver was asked to board the service vessel for a medical examination, but he refused. Additionally, the man did not present his documents and failed to comply with the lawful demands of the emergency official.
In court, the Pavlodar resident fully admitted his guilt and showed remorse. He explained that he refused to obey because he doubted that the person in camouflage was indeed an emergency official.
The court examined the case materials, testimonies, and video footage of the incident. As a result, the violator's guilt was proven.
"When imposing the penalty, the court took into account the admission of guilt and remorse as mitigating circumstances. By court order, the man was found guilty of disobeying a lawful demand of a civil protection official. He was fined 90,825 tenge," the court reported.
The court decision has entered into legal force.
