In the Pavlodar region, a man who was operating an overloaded boat has been held administratively liable for disobeying the lawful demands of an emergency official, reports infohub.kz.

The incident occurred at a boat station in Pavlodar. Citizen N., while operating the boat, refused to comply with the lawful demand of an emergency official of the Pavlodar region to board the service boat and undergo a medical examination.

During the court hearing, N. fully admitted his guilt, explaining that he refused to comply because he doubted that the person in camouflage was an emergency official.

The court press service explained that during a patrol of the water area, an overloaded boat was spotted carrying seven people, including two children, with only two wearing life jackets. After a lawful demand to stop, the boat headed to shore. On shore, citizen N. refused to present his documents and comply with the official's lawful demands.

The court took into account his admission of guilt and remorse as mitigating circumstances. N. was found guilty and fined 90,825 tenge.
