Anuar, a resident of Kazakhstan, shared the story of how he and his mother fulfilled her long-time dream of attending a concert by her favorite band, Underworld. The young man also wanted to hear them live, and they went to great lengths to make it happen, reports infohub.kz.
According to Anuar, his mother had dreamed of seeing the band perform for about 30 years, but in the 90s and 2000s it was nearly impossible. The video of his story has garnered almost 80,000 likes on social media.
"In the 2010s, my mom and I lived on different continents, and the pandemic really put an end to that idea. And recently we realized that the guys are almost 70: it's now or never," the Kazakh man shared.
To make it happen, they had to fly for 13 hours, then wait another five hours in the heat to get a spot right at the stage. The young man admitted that he went into debt, but believes that fulfilling a dream is more important than buying a home, a car, or other trappings of a successful life.
In the comments, users are amazed at how young Anuar's mother looks and how sincerely she rejoices, and they praise him for his act. The video's author is already choosing the next concert to attend together. People are sharing their own stories:
