In the Kostanay region, property of debtors is being seized to pay off alimony arrears, reports infohub.kz.

According to the official website of the regional prosecutor's office, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of children remains a priority for the Karabalyk district prosecutor's office. Special attention is paid to ensuring the enforcement of court decisions on alimony collection.

During supervisory activities, a case of long-term non-fulfillment of alimony obligations by a local resident was established. His debt to a minor child exceeded 3.6 million tenge.

To restore the violated rights of the child, the prosecutor's office took measures within the framework of enforcement proceedings. As a result, on May 6, 2026, the Karabalyk district court issued a ruling to levy execution on the debtor's residential house located in the village of Karabalyk.

In another case, a debtor had been evading child support obligations for several years (since 2019). The amount of debt amounted to 3.4 million tenge.

At the initiative of the prosecutor's office, execution was levied on a 1/2 share of the debtor's real estate. Currently, the procedure for transferring the share of the apartment to the claimant in order to pay off the debt is underway.
