A 42-year-old man has been detained in the Aktobe region on suspicion of stalking his former girlfriend. The incident occurred in one of the region's districts, according to infohub.kz.
According to the police department's press service, the man could not come to terms with the breakup that happened three years ago. The woman moved to another village, but that did not stop the persistent suitor. He systematically called her from different numbers, insulted her, and exerted moral and psychological pressure.
Moreover, the suspect traveled to the locality where the woman lives, spent long periods near her home, and also came to her workplace, trying to undermine her reputation in front of colleagues. He explained his actions simply: "I just loved her."
A criminal case has been opened against the man on charges of stalking. The suspect has been detained and taken to the district police department. During the investigation, he fully confessed, stating that love was the reason for his behavior.
