In the North Kazakhstan Region, a brutal murder of an elderly woman has occurred. Her son has been detained on suspicion of committing the crime, reports the website infohub.kz.
The incident took place in the village of Blagoveshchenka. According to police, the 89-year-old pensioner asked her 66-year-old son to help dig up potatoes. Later, her body with signs of violent death was found in the yard of her son's house. According to preliminary information, the woman was killed with an axe.
Neighbors said that the elderly woman called her son for help, but instead she became a victim of a brutal attack. The press service of the Police Department of the North Kazakhstan Region confirmed the murder and reported that the suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, a number of necessary examinations have been ordered, and all circumstances and motives of the incident are being established. The police are conducting a pre-trial investigation into the murder.
