Kazakh oncourologists have shared their experience in performing high-tech laparoscopic surgeries with colleagues from Tajikistan. A series of masterclasses and procedures took place at the Republican Oncology Center in Dushanbe, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology (KazIOR), the head of the Center for Oncourology, Khusan Umurzakov, conducted a practical masterclass for Tajik specialists. In his lecture, he discussed modern minimally invasive methods in oncourology and presented the institute's experience in applying laparoscopic technologies.

An important part of the masterclass was the work in the operating room. Together with Tajik colleagues, laparoscopic surgeries on the kidneys, adrenal gland, and bladder were performed. Additionally, consultations for patients with complex cases were held during the event.

The specialists emphasized that this format of masterclass was highly appreciated by colleagues in Dushanbe, as it allowed not only to discuss modern surgical methods and approaches but also to see their application in practice.

The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan reported that all patients who underwent surgeries are in satisfactory condition and under the supervision of local doctors.

Earlier it was reported that Kazakh surgeons in Dushanbe operated on a 13-year-old child with grade IV scoliosis and a 37-year-old man with severe injuries after a car accident. Also, as part of the experience exchange, local specialists conducted about 70 consultations for patients with complex diagnoses.
