Specialists from the Yasawi Studies Research Center at the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Aziret Sultan" have discovered a previously little-known 17th-century manuscript dedicated to the history and spiritual teachings of the Yasawi tariqa during a scientific expedition to Moscow, reports the website infohub.kz.
The discovered manuscript is titled "Hujjat al-Dhakirin li-Radd al-Munkirin," which translates to "The Proof of Those Who Perform Dhikr Against Those Who Deny It." The work was created in Bukhara and is considered an important written source on the history of the Yasawi school.
The manuscript examines the principles of Sufi education, the tradition of public dhikr, and spiritual succession. It also contains information about the spiritual chain ascending to Khoja Ahmad Yasawi, Hakim Ata, Zangi Ata, and subsequent representatives of the tariqa.
Currently, specialists are preparing a scholarly description of the manuscript. Afterwards, the text will be compared with known copies of the work, a textual analysis will be conducted, and the research results will be introduced into academic circulation.
