Starting August 13, Kazakh cinemas began screening the film "Moana," based on the Disney animated feature of the same name. As Kursiv LifeStyle discovered, the vocal parts of the main character in the Russian-language version were performed by 21-year-old Kazakh singer Sanat Asuat, reports infohub.kz.
For Sanat, participating in this project was the fulfillment of a long-held dream. The young woman admitted that she has loved Disney cartoons since childhood and always hoped to one day lend her voice to a film character. "I am very grateful that I was invited to this project and entrusted with a special role. This is truly a great honor and an important stage in my creative life. Since childhood, I have loved Disney cartoons, and of course, like any vocalist, I dreamed of one day giving my voice to a film hero," the artist shared.
According to the singer, Moana's character is especially close to her because of the heroine's courage and determination in following her own path. Sanat sees a resemblance to the historical image of a Kazakh girl.
Asuat is already known to the public: she won the "Voice of Azerbaijan - 2025" project and was among the most mentioned vocalists in the world rankings of the "Voice" franchise. In 2026, she graduated from the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov, and her immediate plans include working on an original album.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that "Moana" did not meet expectations at the global box office.
