Ahead of the main draw of the 2026 US Open, Kazakh tennis players Elena Rybakina, Alexander Bublik, Yulia Putintseva, and Alexander Shevchenko have learned their positions in the world rankings, according to infohub.kz.

The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) have released updated rankings. Kazakhstan's top female player, Elena Rybakina, holds onto the No. 2 spot in the WTA rankings with 8,141 points. Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka remains the leader with 8,575 points.

Yulia Putintseva has dropped from 80th to 84th in the world rankings. The Kazakh player has 904 ranking points.

In the men's rankings, Alexander Bublik remains the highest-ranked Kazakh player. He is 16th with 2,525 points ahead of the US Open. Alexander Shevchenko is in 98th place with 655 points.

The main draw of the 2026 US Open begins on August 30 in New York. Rybakina is the No. 2 seed, and Bublik is the 15th seed.
