Kazakh tourists are strongly advised to ensure their tour is registered in the guarantee system and has a TourCode before flying out for vacation, reports infohub.kz.

The "Touristik Qamqor" fund explained that the TourCode confirms the tour is protected by the guarantee system. In case of unforeseen circumstances, the system ensures the return of tourists to their homeland in accordance with the law.

There are three ways to check for a TourCode: on the official website of "Touristik Qamqor", in the TourCode mobile app, and on information boards at airports in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktobe, and Atyrau.

Earlier, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports recommended that Kazakh citizens, before purchasing a tour, request a package of documents from the travel agency confirming the legality of the sale and legal protection. First of all, it is necessary to ensure that the agency has a notification of the start of tour operator activities and is included in the state electronic register.

An important step is signing a contract for tourist services, which must clearly state the country and dates of the trip, the full cost, payment and cancellation conditions, the responsibility of the parties, and the procedure for refunding money.

Special attention should be paid to financial documents: after payment, be sure to demand a fiscal receipt. Do not transfer money to managers' personal accounts - only an official payment document is proof of the transaction.

After confirming the booking and full payment, the agent is obliged to issue a package of travel documents, including a voucher indicating the hotel, meals, and transfer, airline tickets or route receipts, an insurance policy, and a tour code that guarantees protection within the framework of the mandatory system for guaranteeing the rights of tourists.
