A travel agent from Kazakhstan sold fake tickets to a concert of the popular K-pop group BTS to fans. According to the Telegram channel SHOT, about 100 people worldwide were affected by her actions, reports infohub.kz.
It turned out that the travel agent actively offered to buy a trip to the boy band's concert in Busan, which took place on June 12 and 13, through her social media. For 167,000 rubles (955,600 tenge), she promised round-trip flights, accommodation in a good hotel, and tickets to the performance itself.
Earlier, the fake travel agent had sold trips to concerts of other K-pop stars, the group BLACKPINK, in the same manner. Then tourists only learned upon arrival in Hong Kong that their hotel reservations were not made, and tickets to the performance and return flights were fake.
According to tourists, the woman promised on social media to sort everything out and return the money, but later simply disappeared. The same happened to those who wanted to return tickets to the BTS concert.
As a result, the total damage from the travel agent's actions was estimated at 3.5 million rubles (19.9 million tenge).
