In Aktobe, the family of a welder who became disabled after falling from a height at a construction site two years ago is seeking compensation from the employer, reports infohub.kz.

In November 2024, Alexander Turyansky, a welder with 20 years of experience, fell from the third floor during the installation of metal structures. As a result of the accident, he suffered severe head, chest, and lung injuries, a broken hip, and partial memory loss.

"I don't remember anything. I came and told my mom: 'The cradle is wobbling.' It wobbled, and I fell. Let them compensate; we need to live on. We need all the money. They don't want to give anything," said the victim, Alexander Turyansky.

According to the man's mother, her son fell just three days into the job. He lay in a coma for 15 days and spent a total of three months in the hospital. He now has a first-group disability. He says there isn't enough money for medicines, massages, and doctors. The employer, the woman claims, initially helped a little but then stopped.

"They gradually distanced themselves from us. And that's it, no more help. I received a pension—all the money went to medicines. They haven't compensated us for anything," said the victim's mother, Lyubov Turyanskaya.

The labor inspectorate conducted an investigation. Initially, the employer's fault was partially proven.

"80% is the employer's fault, 20% is the worker's fault. In addition to violating safety and labor protection rules, there was a failure to conduct an induction with the worker. All this was recorded in the special investigation report," noted Kuanysh Kamiyev, head of the labor safety control department for the Aktobe region.

Later, the court established the employer's 100% fault. Company representatives assure that after the industrial accident, they acted in accordance with the law.

"When they asked for money for diapers and other things—all that was paid. But the thing is, Turyansky didn't fully follow the law. After the accident, we issued documents; they should have contacted the insurance company," explained Tulegen Yesenguzhin, official representative of the individual entrepreneur "KABLENOVA".

Now the court must settle the matter. The injured party demands compensation for moral and material damage in the amount of 32 million tenge.
