Kazakhstan has 300 pension recipients aged 100 or older, with the country's oldest resident having just celebrated her 116th birthday, infohub.kz reports.
The figures were released by the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, according to NUR.KZ.
The oldest Kazakhstani woman lives in the Ulytau Region and has already marked her 116th birthday.
Almaty is home to the largest number of centenarians, with 41 people aged 100 or older in the country's biggest city.
The Turkistan Region ranks second, with 32 residents over the age of 100.
The Almaty Region rounds out the top three, with 25 people aged 100 or older.
The three oldest Kazakhstanis are residents of the Ulytau Region (116), the Pavlodar Region (114) and the Kostanay Region (111).
