Kazakhstan has set aside 23 billion tenge to prepare children for the new school year. Around 450,000 students from socially vulnerable families will receive financial help, according to infohub.kz.
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Education said payments will be made from August 1 to September 30, 2026, through the Vseobuch fund. The minimum support amount for the new academic year will be 50,851 tenge, 10% higher than last year. In some regions, the amount may be larger, depending on local budget capacities.
The funds can be spent on school uniforms, shoes, and educational supplies. Eligible recipients include orphans, children without parental care, students from low-income families, children from families receiving targeted social assistance, and minors in difficult life situations.
To apply, parents or legal guardians must contact an educational organization with the relevant documents. It was previously reported that recipients must provide documents confirming their purchases of essential items for the child.
