Kazakhstan has launched the August Unified National Testing (UNT), which will run until August 14. More than 30,000 applicants have submitted applications, according to infohub.kz.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the August UNT started on August 10 and will last until August 14. Over 30,000 applications were accepted for participation. Of the test-takers, 65% chose to take the test in Kazakh, 35% in Russian, and 100 people in English. On the first day, more than 6,700 people are taking the test.
It is noted that the August UNT includes graduates of schools and colleges from the current and previous years, oralmen (ethnic Kazakhs returning to Kazakhstan), graduates of secondary education institutions who studied abroad, students wishing to transfer from creative educational programs to other fields of study, from other educational programs to pedagogical directions, as well as individuals enrolled in universities on a fee-paying basis who did not score threshold points in the previous academic year.
Additionally, college graduates planning to continue their studies at a university in their specialty on a fee-paying basis can be admitted based on an interview. In this case, admission is carried out by university admissions committees.
