Kazakh schools will hold unified class hours on September 1, but traditional ceremonies with presenting bouquets to teachers will be limited. This was announced at a briefing in the Central Communications Service by Vice Minister of Education Shynar Akparova, reports infohub.kz.
The unified format of events will affect all students without exception. As the deputy head of the department clarified, schools will hold class hours, and colleges will hold curator hours, lasting about 45 minutes.
Special attention during the briefing was paid to the tradition of giving flowers and gifts to teachers. The ministry emphasized that they sent official instructional letters to local executive bodies and akimats.
"Giving flowers to teachers or buying any gifts is not allowed within school walls. We have specifically stated this. There is no need for it. Traditional class and curator hours must be held in all educational organizations," emphasized Shynar Akparova.
It should be noted that a child can be enrolled in the first grade even if they have not turned 6 by the start of the school year, as long as they turn 6 by the end of the current calendar year.
