Kazakhstan has banned the Telegram channel 'Daivinchik Dating' (Daivinchik znakomstva). The decision was confirmed by the press service of the courts of Almaty, as reported by infohub.kz.
Earlier, the Almaty prosecutor's office found that this Telegram channel operates without age restrictions, posing a threat to the safety of minors. Consequently, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit with the court to declare the operation of the said resource illegal and to prohibit its activities on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Today, the major Telegram channel Baza reported that the channel has been banned in Kazakhstan. The publication noted that the Alatau District Court of Almaty ruled that the service is dangerous for teenagers and does not verify the age of its users. This was the main argument for banning the bot.
A NUR.KZ correspondent sent a request to the press service of the Almaty city courts to comment on the information about the ban. The press service confirmed the information, noting that the case was reviewed by the Alatau District Court, and the court's decision has entered into legal force.
