In the first four days of the Safe Home prevention campaign, Kazakhstan police inspected more than 46,000 residential properties and over 35,000 people on preventive registers. About 4,000 people living without registration and 3,000 various violations were identified, infohub.kz reports.

As explained by Baglanbek Aitpayev, deputy chairman of the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the campaign aims to prevent offenses, ensure public safety and protect children.

About 800 teenagers needed assistance, 127 of whom were placed in adaptation centers. In Pavlodar Region, police found four young children left unattended.

"In such cases, we do not seek to punish. Our task is to protect the child," Aitpayev noted.

In addition, police officers checked more than 11,000 gun owners and seized 20 unregistered weapons.

Over the four days, about 2,000 meetings with citizens were held and nearly 580 appeals were received. According to Aitpayev, each will be reviewed.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs urged citizens to report offenses and unattended children by calling 102. The Safe Home campaign continues.
