Airports in Kazakhstan have started printing preventive notices on the back of boarding passes, reminding passengers of criminal liability for knowingly false reports of terrorist acts and the ban on carrying certain items, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Chief Transport Prosecutor's Office, passengers now receive additional information when getting their boarding passes, noting that even a thoughtless "joke" about a bomb can lead to criminal liability. The notice also lists items prohibited for carriage, including brass knuckles, firearms, ammunition, and other dangerous objects.

Currently, this practice has been introduced at the international airports of Astana, Almaty, Turkistan, and Karaganda. In the near future, the preventive materials are planned to be placed in other airports across the country.
