A scandal erupted in Kazakhstan after a guest at a bridal send-off attacked a dancer who blocked her from approaching the bride. The video of the incident was published by the master of ceremonies and producer Bekzat Kibraeva, reports infohub.kz.
During the traditional bridal send-off ceremony, dancers from the ensemble lined up along the white path "ak zhol" to ensure order and solemnity. According to custom, crossing the path before the bride's exit is forbidden, so the artists held back guests, preventing them from getting too close.
The footage shows a conflict erupting between a dancer and one of the women. The guest grabs and pushes the artist.
The ensemble's producer, Bekzat Kibraeva, stated that she does not intend to let the matter slide and is preparing for legal action. "Because they weren't allowed near the bride during the send-off. Not letting anyone near the girl is the task given to the dancers. Did you think no one would stand up for them? We have video evidence, witnesses, support from parents, and the law. See you in court," she wrote.
Commenters were divided in their opinions. Some believe the dancers were simply doing their job and upholding tradition, while others called the guests' behavior unacceptable. "A familiar situation. The work of dancers is often undervalued," "Why not come quietly and leave quietly? Such women only ruin the atmosphere at a wedding," "Terrible, aren't you ashamed? The author of the post noted that the attacker was accompanied by her mother, who also took part in the conflict.
