The share of domestic producers of construction materials in Kazakhstan's domestic market has exceeded 70%, reports infohub.kz.
As noted by the Ministry of Industry and Construction, 202.2 billion tenge will be allocated for the development of the industry this year. The construction sector accounts for 6% of the country's GDP, and the volume of construction work in the first half of the year amounted to 4.1 trillion tenge, which is 15.2% more than in the same period last year. In 2025, this figure is expected to reach 10.7 trillion tenge, an increase of 17.5% compared to 2024.
An important milestone in the industry's development was the entry into force of the Construction Code. The new regulations provide for extended warranty periods for facilities, mandatory consideration of seismic risks in design, digital oversight of construction companies, and prompt response to violations.
Market demand for construction materials is met by more than 3,000 enterprises. The ministry specified: "This year, 48 investment projects are planned, which will create over 3,500 new jobs." The industry employs more than 380,000 specialists. Thanks to the work of builders, architects, designers, and engineers, large-scale projects are being implemented that shape the modern image of Kazakhstan.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that construction costs decreased in all regions of Kazakhstan, but cement prices rose by 5%.
