Kazakhstan has no plans to transfer the registration of driving schools, the enrollment of study groups, or the administration of driving exams to private organizations. Information circulating on social media to the contrary is false, according to the website infohub.kz.
The clarification was prompted by social media posts claiming that these state functions were to be handed over to private entities. The posts specifically mentioned the registration of driving schools, the enrollment of study groups, and the conduct of exams for obtaining driver's licenses.
The Center for Combating Disinformation stated that such measures are not being considered. These functions will continue to be performed by the state.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also confirmed that the registration of driving schools and study groups remains a state function, carried out through the information system "Avtoshkola" (Driving School), which is maintained by the ministry. The legal basis remains Article 77 of the Law "On Road Traffic."
Thus, there are currently no plans to transfer these powers to private organizations. Citizens are urged not to spread unverified information and to check such claims against official sources.
