Kazakhstan Disability Benefits in 2026: Amounts and Conditions

In Kazakhstan, more than 544,000 people with disabilities receive state social benefits. In 2026, the main payment ranges from 61,000 to nearly 112,000 tenge per month, depending on the disability group, according to infohub.kz.

For disabilities due to general illness, people with Group I receive 111,873 tenge per month. For Group II, the benefit is 89,498 tenge, and for Group III, it is 61,022 tenge.

However, the state benefit may not be the only payment. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection explained that if social contributions were previously made for a person to the State Social Insurance Fund, they may additionally receive a benefit for loss of working capacity. There is no fixed amount here: it is calculated based on previous income, the degree of disability, and how long the person participated in the compulsory social insurance system.

A separate procedure applies if the disability results from an industrial injury or occupational disease. In such cases, the worker may be eligible for insurance payments.

Funds are also provided for those who care for a person with Group I disability. In 2026, the monthly allowance is 81,871 tenge. The same amount is paid to a mother, father, adoptive parent, guardian, or trustee raising a child with a disability.

You can apply for benefits through the Government for Citizens or eGov. There is also a proactive option: after disability is established, the person receives an SMS offering to apply for the payment. If the necessary information is already in state databases, it is enough to confirm consent by replying to the message, without a separate application.

Earlier it was reported that in 2027 the monthly calculation index (MCI) is planned to be increased by 8.5% to 4,693 tenge, but this will not lead to an increase in a number of social payments. For benefits to families with children, large families, and some other payments, calculations are planned to be kept based on the 2026 MCI. Disability benefits may also be calculated based on the previous subsistence minimum.
