A driver in Kazakhstan's Atyrau Region who was stopped by police for speeding and promised not to break the rules again was involved in a road accident five hours later, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to NUR.KZ, citing the Atyrau Region police department, a crash involving a Jetour X70 and a Toyota Hilux occurred on October 9 at the 565th kilometer of the Atyrau — Aktobe highway. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
Five hours before the crash, however, the Oracle-Insight system recorded a Jetour X70 traveling at 166 km/h at the 715th kilometer of the Aktobe — Atyrau — Astrakhan highway. Officers from a patrol police company stopped the vehicle. An administrative protocol for the violation recorded by the system was issued automatically.
Police explained to the driver the need to observe traffic rules, not exceed the established speed limits and take a responsible attitude toward the safety of other road users. The man assured them it would not happen again, but he was later involved in an accident.
