Kazakhstan has launched a call for applications for an education project competition. Authors of the best initiatives can receive grants of up to 10 million tenge to develop and scale their solutions, reports infohub.kz.
Applications can be submitted from July 30 to August 31, 2026. The competition aims to support five to seven projects, each receiving up to 10 million tenge. Winners will be announced on September 10.
The competition is for existing education projects. Organizers note that initiatives must have initial results, a completed pilot phase, or a finished product. Ideas-only projects are not eligible.
"Change starts with people who don't wait for the problem to solve itself. We want to support teams with working solutions, bold ideas, and a willingness to work systematically. If your project already helps schoolchildren, students, or teachers, and you know how to make it stronger, we look forward to your application," said Aidar Buribaev, director of the EA Charity Fund.
Individuals and legal entities over 21 years old implementing educational initiatives in Kazakhstan can apply. Potential participants include educational startups, centers for supplementary, career guidance, and inclusive education, as well as teachers and students.
Priority will be given to projects aimed at improving access to quality education, introducing new technologies into the learning process, supporting educators, developing inclusive education, and creating a safe learning environment.
Applications are accepted in Kazakh and Russian via the Tamyr Platform website until 11:59 p.m. on August 31. Additional information is available on the platform's website and social media.
