Kazakhstan citizens now have access to a new online service: a border crossing certificate can be obtained through the eGov.kz portal and the eGov Mobile app, reports infohub.kz.
According to National Information Technologies JSC, the service provides certificates on crossings of Kazakhstan's state border for a selected period. It is available on the eGov.kz portal and in the eGov Mobile app.
"The certificate reflects border crossing details: date and time, route, direction of travel, flight and vehicle number, country of entry or exit, and checkpoint, as provided by the information system," the company said.
To obtain the certificate on the eGov.kz portal, users must log in, select the service "Issuance of a certificate on crossing the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan," specify for whom the certificate is being issued — "For myself," "For a minor child," or "Legal representative (for incapacitated or partially incapacitated adults)" — then indicate the period for which the information is needed, click "Send request," and sign the application using one of the available methods.
Once processing is complete, the electronic certificate will be available in the "My Profile — Personal Account" section on the eGov.kz portal in Kazakh and Russian. If there is no border crossing information for the specified period, this will also be reflected in the certificate.
Requests can be generated for the period from January 1, 2017, to the current date, with the selected range not exceeding three months. The service is provided within 15 minutes.
To obtain the certificate via eGov Mobile, users must follow similar steps: in the "Home" section, select the service "Issuance of a certificate on crossing the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
"The service is available to citizens of Kazakhstan with an IIN and is provided free of charge. For foreign citizens, a certificate on crossing Kazakhstan's state border is available through the QazETA portal. The certificate may also be required by citizens who have independently imported a smartphone or tablet from abroad and are registering its IMEI code for personal use on Kazakh operators' networks," National Information Technologies JSC added.
The certificate is generated automatically based on state information systems, signed with an electronic digital signature, and has legal force.
